Episode 15 – Phil Sheldon & Michael Luongo

Barry and Shannon meet with Phil Sheldon, President of HE Travel, and Michael Luongo, a freelance journalist and UCLA writing professor. They discuss what is gay travel, the history, the misconceptions and stereotypes, and what travel is like today for the LGBT community.

Episode 14 – Veronica Otter

Barry and Shannon interview Veronica Otter, Head of Regional Sales and Marketing for Lemala Camps and Lodges in East Africa. Get an inside look on how an African camp and lodge expanded itself into luxury properties. With that expansion comes with impacts among the communities that the lodge and camp are located. Learn about how Lemala operates on a typical safari day. They go in depth of Maasai culture and lifestyle.

Episode 13 – Halloween Episode

Barry and Shannon discuss the history and origin of Halloween. They exploring spooky sites around the world. First stop, is Transylvania, the birth place of Dracula, and visit the Bran Castle, a Gothic fortress. Then they go to London, where the basement of Madame Tussauds is the torture museum and has the original death masks from the Reign of Terror. In Russia, you can go to the Kunstkamera museum that hosts some strange beings. If you like magic, go to Iceland and head to the witchcraft museum and ruins.

Michael Luongo, freelance journalist and UCLA writing professor, comes to the show to discuss events across the country, and what Halloween means for the LGBT+ community (Gay Christmas!)
