Hacienda San Agustin
de Callo

One and a quarter hours from the Ecuadorian capital of Quito stands the beautiful and little known farmhouse of San Agustin de Callo. Built on the site of an important Inca Palace this working farm offers today's discerning traveler an unrivaled glimpse into Ecuador's rich and colorful past. The Hacienda is the family home of the Plaza family and as such its six individually styled rooms have been designed to reflect this atmosphere and that of the building's historical importance. The suite has three log fire places, one in the spacious bathroom with its antique tub, one in the bedroom, and one in the drawing room. All other rooms come with en suite bathrooms and log fires in both the bathrooms and bedrooms. Beds are on the generous side and extremely comfortable. The Hacienda's Inca dining room with its view of Cotopaxi, provides guests with the perfect setting to savor the Hacienda's excellent Ecuadorian cuisine. The hacienda is a cozy haven for its guests with log fireplaces in rooms and bathrooms, spacious individually-designed rooms and restaurant.
