M/Y Monserrat

The Monserrat is named for its elegant accommodation, excellent cuisine and for the space in its social areas. The yacht is amongst the fastest power vessels in the Galapagos, making for a more comfortable experience to its passengers. The M/Y Monserrat was completely refurbished in June 2007 and is designed to complement unforgettable excursions to the Galapagos Islands while providing comfort and leisure for the resting adventurer. This first class vessel provides with spacious social areas that include dinning room, ample lounge, bar and three sundecks. All cabins have lowered beds, private bathroom and centralized air-conditioned. The M/Y Monserrat is part of the SmartVoyager® environmental certification program for boats in the Galapagos. The program is designed to minimize the impact of tour boats in the Galapagos through monitoring and inspection of boats, proper management and storage of maintenance facilities, creation of adequate crew quarters and amenities, training, and follow up inspections. The seal gives travelers the assurance that they are supporting operators who care about the environment, wildlife conservation, and the well-being of workers and local communities.
