The house was built with native materials in keeping with the colorful construction systems typical of the area that have been used for generations. An inviting living room and dining room with their lit fireplaces warmly welcomes the you. Each bedrooms recall the huts of the Andean highlands with their straw roofs and "estera" walls, "estera" being the name given to a reed or cattail fabric woven by the skilled hands of local craftsmen. Each of the eight bedrooms offer comfortable twin beds with a shared shower and facilities. The dining room overlooks a large courtyard and is warmed by a fireplace built of mud. The ever-changing Sincholagua volcano offers an impressive backdrop and the magnificent cone-shaped Cotopaxi can be admired from the window of the upstairs game room. Two living rooms - one in the bedroom area - provide a pleasant atmosphere for reading, talking, and resting after a busy day filled with exciting activities.
