Hacienda Los Inocentes

Built more than 100 years ago, this well-maintained hardwood hacienda is located in a private reserve along the northern border of Guanacaste National Park. The rooms are rustic but comfortable, with hot showers across the halls. The wide verandah surrounding the main floor and the second floor of the hacienda is furnished with comfortable chairs and hammocks, ideal for relaxing a few hours with a good book or for watching the magnificent sunsets that are a daily event. The hacienda stable is made up of 100 horses, specializing in horseback nature rides where you can see monkeys, sloths, anteaters, coatimundis and white-tailed deer, among others. Birds can also be seen especially Toucans, Oropendula and Collared Aracaris which are prolific. Activities here include horseback riding, tractor tours, nature walks and bird watching.
