Pom Pom Camp
Pom Pom Camp is located in the heart of the Okavango in a private concession to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve and offers great Okavango scenery with game drives, night drives, walks and mokoros (dug-out canoes) safaris.
This 12-bedded safari camp is built and designed in the style of safari camps of old, for the safari traditionalist. Overlooking a scenic lagoon, it is built under a grove of shady trees and its six large walk-in tents are equipped with en suite showers and flush toilets. The bathrooms are enclosed, but roofless - for a true bush experience. The camp runs on a generator which provides electricity for the whole camp. Incase of power failure, paraffin lamps are provided.
Your days here will be full of adventure - buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and all the big predators can be seen. If you are lucky, some of the nocturnal animals such as serval, civet and genet may be encountered on night drives in open 4X4 Land Rovers. Hippo and crocodile are found in the deeper lagoons in the area. Birding enthusiasts will perhaps enjoy sightings of Pell's Fishing Owl, African Fish Eagle, Giant Eagle Owl and White-Backed Vultures.
