Linyanti Tented Camp
Linyanti Tented Camp is an intimate traditional camp overlooking a tranquil lagoon in the Linyanti marshes. Set within a private reserve bordering the western boundary of Chobe National Park, the camp is owned by conservationist Fred Keeley, the first concessionaire in Botswana to forgo considerable hunting revenues to develop game concentrations.
The camp accommodates a maximum of eight guests in five large East African style tents, each with en-suite bathrooms, flush toilets and running hot and cold water. The main dining room and pub is under canvas right on the shore of the lagoon. Best known for the huge herds of elephant that congregate on the Linyanti River in the dry season, the marshes are also home to red lechwe, sitatunga, hippo, as well as large cats and wonderful birdlife.
