DumaTau Camp

DumaTau Camp is built under a shady grove of mangosteen trees, overlooking a large hippo-filled lagoon within the Linyanti waterway system. Its large, luxurious rooms are raised off the ground on polished wooden decks and feature private en-suite facilities. Set under thatch with canvas walls, the rooms allow guests to enjoy the night sounds of Africa from the comfort of their beds. Each room has a spectacular vista over the floodplains, with an additional outdoor shower to enhance the view. There is a dining room, living room, bar area and plunge pool, also raised on wooden decks, with fabulous vistas.

Activities at DumaTau are diverse, however they mainly focus on the wildlife in the area. Day and night game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles along the Savuti Channel and the banks of Linyanti River. Nature walks allow for closer inspection of some of the smaller aspects of the eco-system, while the camp's pontoon facilitates access to the Linyanti River, offer a different perspective on animals as they come to the river to drink. One of the major attractions is the many hides in the area which give guests the opportunity to watch and photograph animals close up in their natural environment without disturbance.
