Day 12 - Cape Town/Table Mountain/Kirsenbosch Botanical Gardens
Explore Cape Town via motorcoach to see the Houses of Parliament, the Castle, Greenmarket Square and the Company Gardens, before ascending Table Mountain by cable car for a panoramic view of Cape Town.  Watch out for guinea pig-like creatures called rock hyraxes (closest living relative to elephants) scampering about looking for an easy meal.  Birding is amazing and there are more than 1400 species of flowering plants. On your return, stop at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, founded in 1913 and a living display featuring living fossils, silver trees and an avenue of camphor and fig trees planted by Cecil Rhodes in 1898 and a wild almond hedge planted by Dutch settler Jan van Riebeeck in 1660.  COMMODORE HOTEL.  (B,L)

Day 13 - Cape Peninsula
View the scenic beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, then cross over to Hout Bay with an option to join a boat cruise to Seal Island. Board your luxury motorcoach for a coastal drive surrounded by rugged shorelines, spectacular mountains and the blue sea, to the Cape of Good Hope. Climb the steps or take a funicular ride to the top of Cape Point.  Explore Cape Point Nature Reserve which is host to approximately half of the 2,700 species of indigenous plants contained on the Cape Peninsula.  View 250 bird species from ostriches to minuscule sunbirds.  Return via the naval base of Simonstown and visit the Penguin breeding colony there. COMMODORE HOTEL.  (B,L)

Day 14 - New Rest/Winelands
Visit the informal settlement of New Rest in Guguletu.  See how the local community has reached out to re-shape their township in the face of extremely difficult conditions. With your resident guide, visit the crèche, community center and nursery built with bricks made at a project in the settlement. Then venture on an expedition to the wine lands region below Boland Mountains and its internationally-acclaimed vineyards of Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl.  All the estates offer tasting and cellar tours, plus you will enjoy lunch in one of them.  Discover antique shops and gardens nestled in Franschhoek’s “Valley of the Huguenots” where the French settled in 1688, explore the historic, university town of Stellebosch with Oak-lined streets next to water furrows and elegant Cape Dutch, Victorian and Georgian architecture.  Visit Boschendal, a historic estate with brilliantly preserved Cape Dutch buildings and a collection of priceless period furniture.  COMMODORE HOTEL.
